"As much as I would want to share every complicated thought that runs through my head, I believe speech does not permit me to do so. Writing it down perhaps may help me come up with a good approximation."

Love Hung on a Cross Friday, August 24, 2007 |

He looked around the hill and foresaw a scene. Three figures hung on three crosses. Arms spread. Heads fallen forward. They moaned with the wind.
Men clad in soldier's garb sat on the ground near the trio...
Women clad in sorrow huddled at the foot of the hill... faces tear-streaked.
All heaven stood to fight. All nature rose to rescue. All eternity poised to protect. But the Creator gave no command.
"It must be done..." he said, and withdrew.
The angel spoke again. "It would be less painful..."
The Creator interrupted softly. "But it wouldn't be love."

Solitude Tuesday, August 14, 2007 |

Hi.

I know you enjoy experimenting on the different routes you can take going home.
Even if you are unsure where the tricycle/fx stop is.
Even if you have to walk really long walks just to get to the proper loading stations.
Even if you can't sleep through the journey home because you have to be awake to know exactly where you can have yourself dropped off.
Even if it's more costly than the normal bus-bus route..

Because there are things about your "experiment" that bring you satisfaction.
The long walks through unfamiliar places which are more to you like explorations.
The sense of anonymity that you have with those unfamiliar places.
The chance to just listen to music during the ride home while peering at the window to survey the [again] unfamiliar route..

I know you enjoy those moments when you are alone. And I completely understand. Of course. I am you.

Bakasyon: Epilogue Friday, August 10, 2007 |

I always knew it would work.

The Batangas "vacation", even though it was nothing like a vacation at all because we had tons of work to do there, did very well in refreshing my work-spirit. This week being at the HO felt much better than the past ones prior to the "vacation". And I don't really dwell on the mentor-issue anymore. I kind of accepted it as it is, without much expectations now than before. That way I won't get frustrated again if something not nice comes up.

I think a healthy dose of Batangas, say 3 days every month, would be enough for me to ward off any unwanted feeling here in the HO.

Saved by Safety Pins Thursday, August 09, 2007 |

Once again, the faithful safety pins have rescued me.

============

It was a very bad combination: pouring rain, mrt ride, meet with friends, and my ripped pants (just don't ask where the rip is). The thought of sewing up my pants before meeting up with my friends is the only thing I have in my mind when I entered National Bookstore. Sadly, there aren't any needles there. But there were safety pins, thanks to the crafts section.

And so because of the safety pins, nobody noticed. :wink:

============

Because of Chedeng (heavy rains again), we were allowed to leave work early yesterday. I made use of my time at home by mending my overly large "uniform" pants (pants
again!). Since I don't really know how to go about with the repair, I decided to turn to my evertrusted pins. I managed to sew up my pants using the pins and when I tried
fitting the pants, it was perfect!

============

I never thought those pins would really come in handy. From now on, I'd be carrying my pack wherever I go.
