Rainy days
Our summer getaway ended with a storm coming, surely putting a close to the extremely hot summer season.
Rainy season reminds me of many things. Before, I used to just remember my highschool days: times when we got stranded in the dorm because of class suspensions due to typhoons, playing everything in the rain (volleyball, basketball, even soccer in the "lightning prone" soccer field). But now that my college life is over, I also remember past scenes spent at UP: walking in the rain with umbrellas trying to transfer from one place [building] to another without being soaked, but never really making it without getting wet; tambayan moments waiting for the announcement from the Admin that classes are suspended; cutting classes still waiting for THE announcement. They say the older you get, the more memories you have. Indeed.
I enjoy the rainy days. I enjoy the cold feeling it brings and that you have to wear an extra something over to keep yourself warm. I enjoy hunting for new umbrellas that are functional at the same time cute and cheap (that's because my umbrellas don't seem to last that long, either they're broken or they just disappear). I enjoy the challenge of being stranded in wherever place, given that i have enough resources--MONEY, to help me survive hunger and to see me through extra transportation expenses. I enjoy reminiscing all those rainy day memories I have stored in my mind.
I enjoy the rainy days, minus all the tragic occurences that tag along with it.

I enjoy it too, minus the traffic and Malabon's famous baha. top
